Firefly's Blue Ghost lunar lander captures its shadow on the moon's surface after completing a successful landing March 2 near a volcanic feature on the moon called Mons Latreille. The vehicle became the first of two landers manufactured by a U.S. company to reach the moon is 2025 in crucial missions to lay the groundwork for NASA to return humans to the lunar surface in the years ahead.

Datum i mesto lansiranja

Kako i gde pratiti prenos

Kompanija će prenositi događaj uživo putem zvaničnog vebkasta na svom sajtu i na društvenim mrežama (uključujući X). Webcast obično počinje otprilike 30 minuta pre planiranog polijetanja.

Putnici i statistika misije

  • Tim Drexler — bivši vlasnik i generalni direktor Ace Asphalt; privatni pilot
  • Linda Edwards — penzionisana, sertifikovana ginekološkinja i preživela raka dojke
  • Alain Fernandez — međunarodni investitor i razvijač nekretnina
  • Alberto Gutiérrez — preduzetnik, osnivač Civitatis-a (turističke ture)
  • Jim Hendren — penzionisani pukovnik USAF i bivši pilot F-15; bivši senator Arkanzasa
  • Laura Stiles — direktorica za lansiranje New Shepard u Blue Origin

Kako izgleda misija

Pomoćni potisnik se vraća ka zemlji i sleti vertikalno u blizini lansirne lokacije, dok kapsula ulazi u kontrolisani pad i sleti uz pomoć tri velika padobrana u pustinji.

Cena i rezervacije

Ovi kratki podorbitalni letovi šire dostupnost ljudskog iskustva svemira izvan profesionalnih astronauta i služe i kao tehnološki i komercijalni korak u razvoju privatnih svemirskih letova.

Athena, the lunar lander on Intuitive Machines' IM-2 mission, captured this image of the moon's surface with Earth seen in the distance ahead of a March 6 landing attempt. While the lander was the second U.S. vehicle to reach the moon within a week, it ultimately landed on its side, which hindered much of its mission.
