Scena u Teheranu odražava pomešanu i krhku atmosferu otkako je prekid vatre stupio na snagu 8. aprila, dok su pregovori zakazani da počnu u Pakistanu.
U glavnom gradu nema sveopšteg slavljenja — mnogi su utučeniji i neki obeležavaju 40 dana od događaja koji je potresao zemlju. Umesto velikih proslava, prisutna je tuga i suzdržanost.
Istovremeno, u gradskim parkovima vidljive su mirnije, svakodnevne scene: nepokrivene žene igraju odbojku, drugi voze bicikle, šetaju pse i prave kratke porodične izlete, čime se pokazuje kontrast između javne tuge i normalizacije svakodnevnog života.
