NASA i Boeing revidiraju planove za sledeći let Starlinera, prvobitno zakazan za april 2026. Sledeća misija će poleteti bez posade i nosiće samo teret kako bi se u letu potvrdile nadogradnje uvedene nakon problema u junu 2024. U februaru 2026. NASA je kritikovala tehničke i upravljačke propuste u izveštaju, a astronauti koji su učestvovali u tom letu su kasnije otišli u penziju.

Šta se dogodilo na prvoj misiji

Na svom prvom letu sa posadom u junu 2024, Starliner je doveo do produženog boravka dvoje astronauta na Međunarodnoj svemirskoj stanici (ISS) zbog problema sa letelicom. Brod se na kraju vratio na Zemlju bez svoje posade, koja je kući dopremljena kasnije, u martu 2025, zahvaljujući SpaceX Dragon kapsuli.

Zašto će sledeći let biti bez posade?

NASA i Boeing su odlučili da naredni let izvede bez ljudi kako bi sigurno proverili „u letu" sve nadogradnje i ispravke implementirane nakon incidenta. Cilj je validacija sistema u realnim uslovima pre nego što se ponovo razmotri transport astronauta.

Stanje procesa i razlozi za reviziju

Agencija je navela da trenutno procenjuje operativnu spremnost i stanje saobraćaja ka ISS-u kako bi odredila najraniji izvodljivi prozor za lansiranje. Revidiranje datuma je neophodno zbog dodatnih tehničkih provera, implementacije poboljšanja i usklađivanja sa rasporedom stanice.

„Agencija ocenjuje operativnu spremnost i saobraćaj prema svemirskoj stanici kako bi odredila najraniji izvodljivi prozor za lansiranje,“ navodi se u NASA‑inom blogu iz maja.

Izveštaj i upravljanje

U februaru 2026. NASA je objavila oštar izveštaj u kojem je kritikovala tehničke propuste na Starlineru, ali i način donošenja odluka i postupanje menadžmenta tokom problematičnog leta. Izveštaj je naglasio potrebu za ispravkama ne samo hardvera, već i procesa upravljanja rizicima i odgovornosti.

Šira pozadina i značenje za program

Starliner, koji razvija Boeing u okviru NASA‑inog Komercijalnog programa za posadu, treba da postane druga operativna letelica sposobna da prevozi astronaute i teret do ISS‑a pre nego što se stanica povuče oko 2030. SpaceX već od 2020. redovno opslužuje ISS Dragon kapsulama, pa je cilj imati alternativu kako bi američki program imao veću redundanciju.

Astronauti i posledice

Astronauti koji su učestvovali u junskom letu, Butch Wilmore i Suni Williams, naknadno su završili svoje karijere i otišli u penziju (avgust 2025. i januar 2026.). Incident i izveštaj su pokrenuli pitanja o bezbednosti, nadzoru i budućem autoritetu u programima sa ljudskom posadom.

Šta sledi

Dok NASA i Boeing nastavljaju rad na ispravkama i dodatnim testovima, datum sledećeg lansiranja ostaje neizvestan. Sledeća misija će, prema trenutnim planovima, biti autonomna dostavna misija ka ISS‑u čija će primarna svrha biti potvrda novih sistemskih nadogradnji.
