Priveden je radnik osumnjičen da je izazvao požar brusilicom, a trasa treće etape Tour de France je zatvorena za publiku radi pristupa hitnim službama.

ILLE-SUR-TET, Francuska, 6. jul — Šumski požar koji nije pod kontrolom buknuo je na jugozapadu Francuske i primorao je na evakuaciju oko 10.000 ljudi iz više od dve desetine malih gradova i sela blizu španske granice. Zvaničnici upozoravaju da jaki vetrovi mogu dodatno razbuktati vatru.
Detalji požara
Požar je do sada zahvatio približno 4.600 hektara na francuskoj strani, saopštio je lokalni prefekt Pierre Regnault de la Mothe u objavi na platformi X (bivši Twitter). Rane letnje vrelote u maju i junu ostavile su velike površine suvima i posebno ranjivima na požare.
„Jutros se uslovi ponovo pogoršavaju,“ upozorio je ministar unutrašnjih poslova Laurent Nunez na televiziji TF1. „Danas bitka nastavlja.“
Uticaj na Trku oko Francuske
Požar u oblasti Trevillach gori blizu trase treće etape Trke oko Francuske (Tour de France). Lokalna vlast je zatvorila pristup publici kako bi hitne službe imale nesmetan pristup, a broj vozila u pratećoj karavani timova biće sveden na minimum. Sama trka će biti nastavljena.
Situacija na španskoj strani
Na španskoj strani granice vatra je poharala oko 2.200 hektara, od čega je 97% u zaštićenom prirodnom području Les Gavarres. Katalonske vlasti su saopštile da je situacija bila stabilna kasno u subotu i da se očekuje potpuno gašenje požara tokom nedelje.
Policija je uhapsila zaposlenog firme angažovane od strane regionalne vlade Katalonije, osumnjičenog da je izazvao požar korišćenjem ugaone brusilice pored puta.
Druga evakuacija i posledice
Jug od Katalonije, u istočnoj provinciji Castellon, oko 500 ljudi je evakuisano nakon što je požar ušao u nacionalni park Sierra de Espadan, poznat po značajnim šumama plute. Vatrogasne i spasilačke jedinice rade na više frontova, uz podršku lokalnih i regionalnih vlasti.
Rani letnji toplotni talasi i sušni uslovi u zapadnoj Evropi povećali su rizik od šumskih požara ove sezone, čineći brzu koordinaciju i prevenciju ključnim za zaštitu ljudi i prirodnih resursa.
