Centar modernističke Gdinje uvršten je na UNESCO-vu Listu svetske baštine u godini kada grad slavi stotu godišnjicu. Grad je izgrađen gotovo iz ničega između dva svetska rata i postao simbol međuratnih ambicija Poljske. Njegova koherentna modernistička arhitektura — ravni krovovi, zaobljeni uglovi i horizontalni prozori — čini Gdinju jedinstvenim primerom grada podignutog u jednoj generaciji. Upis će doneti veću međunarodnu pažnju i obaveze za očuvanje gradskog nasleđa.

Centar modernističkog lučkog grada Gdinja, izgrađen gotovo iz temelja tokom dve decenije između Prvog i Drugog svetskog rata, uvršten je u ponedeljak na UNESCO-vu Listu svetske baštine — upravo u godini kada grad slavi svoju stotu godišnjicu.

Smešten severno od istorijskog Gdanjska, rodnog mesta pokreta Solidarnost, i poredmorskog letovališta Sopot, Gdinja je dugo smatrana manje važnom u odnosu na ta mesta. Sada, zahvaljujući UNESCO-voj odluci, grad ulazi na listu od 1.273 zabeležena lokaliteta, od Velikog koralnog grebena u Australiji do Akropole u Atini.

Ribarsko Selo Postalo Vrata Ka Svetu

Gdinja je jedan od najupečatljivijih simbola ambicija međuratne Poljske koja je 1918. povratila nezavisnost nakon 123 godine podele. Država, suočena sa samo uskim pojasom obale, izabrala je malo ribarsko selo Gdinju (oko 1.200 stanovnika 1920.) kao lokaciju za novu luku. Do 1939. broj stanovnika porastao je stostruko, jer su ljudi iz cele zemlje dolazili u grad u potrazi za poslom i prilikama.

„Ovo je čast za grad koji nije gledao unazad, već je hrabro gledao u budućnost — grad izgrađen iz snova, hrabrosti i vere da Poljska može stvoriti izuzetne stvari“, napisala je ministarka kulture Marta Cienkowska na platformi X.

Arhitektura Kao Jedinstveno Svedočanstvo Modernizma

Za razliku od drugih gradova oblikovanih međuratnim modernizmom — poput telavivskog „Belog grada“ — Gdinja je podignuta gotovo u potpunosti oko nove luke, što joj daje izuzetno koherentnu arhitektonsku celinu. Njeno urbano jezgro karakterišu aerodinamične zgrade sa ravnim krovovima, zaobljenim uglovima, dugim horizontalnim prozorima i balkonima koji podsećaju na okeanske brodove — oblikovni detalji koji odražavaju pomorski identitet i tadašnje poverenje u tehnologiju i napredak.

Istoričari arhitekture često porede Gdinju sa funkcionalističkim kvartovima iz 1920-ih i 1930-ih u gradovima poput Roterdama i Brna. Međutim, jedinstvenost Gdinje leži u tome što je većina grada nastala u jednoj generaciji, što je retkost u evropskoj urbanoj istoriji.

Komitet UNESCO-ove Liste svetske baštine čine predstavnici 21 države. Među mestima koja su nedavno dodata listi nalaze se i plaže iskrcavanja za Dan D u Normandiji, a upis Gdinje dodatno potvrđuje značaj međuratne arhitektonske baštine.

Za čitaoce: Upis na UNESCO-vu listu obično donosi veću međunarodnu pažnju, pravnu zaštitu kulturnih dobara i mogućnosti za razvoj turizma, ali i obavezu očuvanja autentičnosti gradskog tkiva.
