NASA i SpaceX su odložili lansiranje misije Crew‑13 dok traju popravke svemirskog broda Dragon, pa javnost i članovi posade trenutno mogu samo da posmatraju Međunarodnu svemirsku stanicu (ISS) iz daljine. Srećom, ovaj orbitalni kompleks je lako uočljiv golim okom i daje odličnu priliku za posmatranje svemira iz sopstvenog dvorišta.
Šta se desilo sa Crew‑13?
Pokretanje misije Crew‑13 je odloženo na neodređeno vreme dok timovi ne završe neophodne popravke na Dragon kapsuli kompanije SpaceX. To znači da će planirane izmene posada i naredni letovi biti premešteni dok se ne potvrdi bezbednost letelice.
Zašto se ISS lako vidi?
ISS kruži Zemljom na visini od oko 260 milja (~420 km) i putuje brzinom od približno 17.500 milja na sat (~28.160 km/h). Završava orbitu otprilike svakih 90 minuta, što članovima posade daje oko 16 izlazaka i zalazaka Sunca dnevno. Velike solarnе ploče efikasno reflektuju sunčevu svetlost, zbog čega je ISS često jedan od najsjajnijih objekata na noćnom nebu (samo Sunce i Mesec su svetliji).
Kada i kako najbolje posmatrati ISS
Najbolje vreme za posmatranje je nekoliko sati pre izlaska i posle zalaska Sunca, kada stanica obasjana Suncem prolazi iznad tamnijeg neba. Poželjno je da imate neometan pogled na horizont bez visokih zgrada ili drveća. Izgledaje kao čvrsta, sjajna tačka koja brzo prelazi s jedne strane neba na drugu — obično u pravcu zapad–istok.
Aplikacije i onlajn alati olakšavaju praćenje: NASA‑ina usluga „Spot the Station“ šalje obaveštenja o prolazima iznad vaše lokacije, a ESA ima onlajn tracker koji prikazuje trenutnu putanju, prošlih 90 minuta i oko 90 minuta unapred. „Spot the Station" je dostupan u Apple App Store i Google Play.
Ne treba posebna oprema — ISS se vidi golim okom — ali dvogled ili manji teleskop mogu otkriti solarne panele i modularne strukture.
Ko je trenutno na ISS?
Na stanici trenutno radi sedam članova posade u okviru Ekspedicije 75. Među njima su članovi misije Crew‑12 koji su se dokovali tokom februara, kao i astronauti koji su stigli Soyuz letelicom. Posade se rotiraju kroz planirane izmene, ali zbog odlaganja Crew‑13 moguća su pomeranja.
Budućnost ISS
NASA i međunarodni partneri planiraju kontrolisanu deorbitaciju ISS u narednim godinama i zamenu ključnih istraživačkih kapaciteta privatnim stanicama i novim komercijalnim platformama. Do tada će ISS ostati važan laboratorij za istraživanja u mikrogravitaciji i za pripreme misija dubljeg istraživanja svemira.
